A Beer & Film: Shooting a Short Film with a $0 Budget

Despite what others think or say, you don't need a large budget to produce a professional looking film.  When I sat down to write my horror short film Truth, I kept my budget in mind - no special effects, little to no crew, minimal actors and 1 location.

Luckily, I was able to get a bad-ass location for free, thanks to a co-worker and her family.  And for the actors, I did pay them (I had to, they were awesome), but it didn't break my pockets.

We had a blast shooting this thing. And since I shot my scenes as 1 runners (a long, unedited shot), the shoot time was under 3 hours.

I'm now in post production, working on grading and sound.  Stay tuned for more updates.
